Davifil can boast in its collections, yarns of all kinds and types, every fibre that passes through our hands is spun in the most appropriate machinery possible. Below is a brief presentation of all the types of spinning that Davifil uses to offer you the items in its collections.

This is the most common method of spinning cotton fibres. Involving the use of a rotating spindle inside a ring, the fibres are fed to the spindle and twisted to form the yarn, the end product is a very regular, low-haired yarn.

Ring system

Wet spinning is a combed ring spinning system, mainly used for bast fibres such as flax and hemp. The ribbon processed on the spinning machine is soaked in water, which softens the fibre and makes it easier to twist.

Wet or semi-wet system

Dry spinning is always a ring spinning system and is also used for spinning bast fibres. In this case, the wick is dry and both long and short fibres can be spun.

Dry system

Not a type of spinning, but twisting or other processing done on special machines, which create unique effects on the yarn due to the nature, colour, yarn count and twist of its components. This type of yarn is obtained by acting on several factors, such as the length, feed, tension, twist or spiral of the various components.

Fancy yarns

Wool 's combed spinning is characterised by a long process aimed at parallelising the fibres, stretching, sorting, blending and uniforming them. Combed yarn is generally used for the clothing industry.

Combed yarn

This method involves the use of a rotor that captures the fibres and threads them into yarn. Open-end spinning is valuable because it is used to revive recycled and regenerated fibres that are much shorter than normal due to the tearing of recovered fabrics.
